why we're here

What's in a name?

Our name dappled glory was inspired by Gerard Manley Hopkins' poem, Pied Beauty, serving as a reminder that God's glory is waiting to meet us is in every small & diverse aspect of creation,
including ourselves & our neighbors.
We want a world that sees the good - in people & in creation - so we design quality clothing & essentials that help remind us to meet the glory in the ordinary.

our mission is to wrap you in the confidence that you are surrounded by the sacred.
meet the glory in the ordinary

our mission is to wrap you in the confidence that you are surrounded by the sacred.

Whether you are in the solitude of nature, or in the hustling city streets surrounded by thousands of people, you are given an opportunity to meet the Glory of God in and through your surroundings.

what we wear can transform the way we think & act
see the good; be the good

what we wear can transform the way we think & act

We believe that when we clothe ourselves and our homes with reminders to meet God’s glory in the ordinary moments, it becomes easier to find.

transform ourselves so we can transform the world
Our Goal is simple

transform ourselves so we can transform the world

Our goal is not to simply stop at meeting the Glory in these ordinary moments, but to allow these encounters to change us. To become more loving to every person placed in front of us that day, regardless of creed, color, or class. To slow down and appreciate the creation before us. A Family Rooted Mission

A Family Rooted Mission

Hey there, I'm Chanelle-the creator behind all things dappled here. I'm a former globetrotting missionary and current stay at home mom. I first began Dappled Glory out of a need to create and connect with the Church and world - as being a stay at home mom can often feel isolating.
The more I created, the more it gnawed away at me that if I wanted to contribute to bettering the world, then it could not come at the expense of harming our planet and contributing to fast fashion.
As a mom, I want to set the world up to be a better place for my kids and grandkids - both faithfully and physically since we are both spiritual and physical creatures.
That is why we make eco-conscious decisions such as choosing organic cotton for our clothing, biodegradable phone cases (the amount of plastic wasted in that department is alarming), toxin-free candles, and printing all of our products to order - to avoid overproduction and waste.
Here's to sharing our faith with the world, in a way that honors our responsibility as stewards of the earth as well.

together, let's meet god in our every day
